Vent: my rear brake line let go in the Wendy's drive-thru on Tuesday
I was sitting in line at the Wendy's on Route 9 in Poughkeepsie when my pedal just sank straight to the floor. Turned out the rear hard line on my 2001 Civic had rusted through right above the fuel tank strap, of course in the worst spot possible. I limped it home in first gear using the e-brake and spent Saturday cutting out the bad section with a $12 tubing cutter and a flare kit I borrowed from my neighbor. Bled the whole system with a $9 bottle of DOT 3 and it held pressure all week, no leaks. Anyone got a trick for fishing a new line over the tank without dropping it, or am I just pulling the tank next time?
