Unpopular opinion: your $80 braided HDMI cable is the reason your TV keeps flickering
Honestly I don't get why people defend these overpriced braided cables so hard. My brother set up his new 65 inch TV in Denver last month with an $80 8K braided HDMI and got a black screen flicker every 4 minutes, no joke. I brought over a plain $9 6 foot cable from the drugstore and it ran clean for 3 hours straight, not one drop. The thick braid puts stress on the connector and the weight pulls it loose on the back of the panel. Ngl the cheap thin cables almost always hold better because they bend easy and sit flat. Has anyone else had a fancy cable fail while the boring one just kept working?
