Just realized the night janitor at my old office made more than I did as a junior analyst
He worked 11pm to 7am at a building in Des Moines and mentioned his pay was $31 an hour with a shift bonus, while I was pulling $24 with a degree. We got to talking because I was stuck there late on a Thursday and he was the one who showed me how to reset the break room fridge. Anyone else find out way too late that the "boring" shift jobs were paying better than the desk jobs?

That $31 an hour plus shift bonus thing reminds me of my buddy who quit his bank teller job to stock shelves nights at Costco.
