DAE glue up a whole text block backwards and only notice at the third signature?
Was finishing a 400 page rebind in my basement last Tuesday, sewing signatures onto tapes with PVA from the purple bottle. Grabbed signature 14 and flipped it, so pages 200 to 216 came out upside down while I kept sewing like nothing was wrong. Only caught it when I fanned the block before pressing, and I sat there for like 20 seconds just staring. Had to slice the tapes with a scalpel at the sewing stations and re-sew that chunk with fresh linen thread, lost maybe 90 minutes. Does anyone else keep a page number marked on the bench or do you just trust your gut while sewing?
