Corner glue dripped on my fleurons, saved by a peeler
Midway through a rebinding project in my garage last month, I was pressing a book block and forgot to check the corner glue. The PVA dripped right onto a row of freshly gilded fleurons I'd spent an hour placing. I grabbed a vegetable peeler from the kitchen and carefully shaved the dried glue off, took maybe 25 minutes. The gilding stuck through it, which surprised me. Anyone else had a crazier save after a glue mishap?

Gotta love it when kitchen tools save the day.
