My sister in law said skip episode one of that chef show on Netflix and I'm still mad about it
So about 6 months ago my sister in law kept going on about this cooking competition show and said flat out "just skip the first episode, it's slow and you won't miss anything." I believed her because she watches everything. Big mistake. I started on episode two like she said and spent the whole season confused about who half these people were and why one guy kept glaring at another guy. Turns out all of that got set up in the pilot she waved me past. I went back and watched episode one after I finished and honestly it was the best one of the whole thing. Now I've got a rule for myself, I don't let anyone tell me where to start a show, I just start at the top. She still swears she was right though. So who else has taken start point advice from a friend and got burned? Or is skipping ahead actually fine for some shows?
