Pro tip: my grinder died on the morning of 8 showings and the backup plan saved me
Last Tuesday I had 8 showings booked back to back and my burr grinder quit on the first pot, so I fell back on the $12 hand grinder my sister got me at a yard sale in Boise. Honestly the cup came out better than what my electric one makes, mostly because I had to slow down and actually measure things instead of dumping beans in half awake. Now I'm wondering if I should just keep using the hand grinder full time, has anyone here made that switch and missed the electric one?
