I finally ditched the feather razor for a straight on a real client

Had a regular with thick, coarse beard growth sit down last Tuesday, and I had to pick between my usual feather shavette or my older straight razor. I went with the straight because he mentioned his last barber rushed him, and I wanted that slower, classic feel. The shave came out clean but took 20 extra minutes, and my hand was sore after. Do you guys stick with one tool for certain clients or switch it up based on the beard?
