Clipper blade locked up mid fade on a Friday rush
Had my trusty Wahl blade seize up solid right in the middle of a skin fade last Friday, busy as hell with three guys waiting. The screw on the side had worked loose and the blade shifted, then jammed against the housing. I tried oiling it quick but it was toast, totally locked. Ended up grabbing my backup clipper, an old Oster I keep in the drawer, and finished the cut with that. Took me an extra 10 minutes and the guy was cool about it, but I lost my rhythm and my next client's line was crooked. Now I check that screw on every clipper every morning before my first chair. Has anyone else had a blade just give up like that during a booked afternoon, and do you carry a second clipper or just pray?
