Serious question, why did nobody tell me my oven runs 25 degrees hot
I've been baking sourdough in my apartment in Sacramento for almost two years and could not figure out why my loaves always came out dark on the bottom and gummy in the middle. Last week my friend gave me an oven thermometer as a joke gift, and it turns out my oven runs 25 degrees hotter than the dial says, so every single bake I've done has been at the wrong temp. I feel so dumb but also kind of relieved? Has anyone else had this happen and did you just adjust your recipes or get the oven fixed?
