Found a 1997 article saying no one would ever need more than 640KB of RAM
Cleaning out my dad's garage last Thursday and found a PC World from June 1997 with a whole section laughing at the idea of home computers needing over 1GB of storage. My phone takes 4K videos that eat that much in like 30 seconds, which is wild. Anybody else got old magazine gems predicting the future totally backwards?

Man, that hits different now! 640KB was supposedly all anyone would ever need, and now I get annoyed when my phone storage drops below 64GB. But here's the thing, those old predictions make me wonder if we're doing the exact same thing right now with something like AI or quantum computing. What tech do you think we're currently underestimating that will look just as silly in 25 years?
