Guy at a LAN party said 60fps is a scam and now I can't stop thinking about it
So I was at this small LAN party in Akron two weeks ago and some dude with a 144hz monitor told me that anything over 60fps is just marketing because human eyes can't see past 60 anyway. I laughed it off at first but then he pulled up a video on his phone and made me watch a side by side demo, and now I'm second guessing every game I play. Am I dumb for thinking he might have a point, or should I just go back to my 60hz setup and stop worrying about it?

It's like the whole "you only use 10% of your brain" thing, sounds smart but falls apart if you poke it.
