Pro tip: zip tying my desk cables into one big bundle made the mess worse, so I counted them
I finally got fed up with the rat nest behind my desk in my apartment in Tucson, so I zip tied everything into one fat bundle, which just made one huge ugly snake instead of a mess. Then I actually counted and there were 23 cables back there, 9 of them for stuff I don't even own anymore. I pulled the dead ones, and the whole thing dropped to one small velcro wrap on the monitor arm. So before you buy any fancy raceway, count what's actually plugged in back there. What's the highest number of dead cables you've found behind one desk?
