A guy at Micro Center in Denver said my desk looked like a bird nest and he was dead on
I had a buddy help me move my desk last month and when we pulled it away from the wall he just stared at the back and said it looked like a bird nest back there. I got defensive at first because everything worked fine, no dead cables, no loose ends. But then I counted and I had 14 cords running down the back of one leg, mostly just bundled with twist ties that came off old bread bags. He told me to stop daisy chaining power strips and mount one strip to the underside of the desk instead, so I did that the next weekend with a $12 pack of velcro straps and some screws. The part that got me was he said wrap them in one direction, not back and forth, because looping both ways makes it fatter than it needs to be. Sounds dumb but that one tip cut the whole bundle down to about half the thickness. Now I can actually see the floor under my desk. What did someone point out about your setup that you blew off at first?
