Warning: my bear canister lid popped off mid trip on the High Sierra Trail and my food went rolling down a slope
On day 3 near Hamilton Lakes my canister lid popped loose when I sat my pack down too hard, and my whole food bag rolled about 40 feet down a dusty slope. I had to scramble after it while my buddy just stood there laughing at me. Has anyone else had a canister fail on them, and what do you do to keep the lid locked down?
