Rant: got talked into a 'shortcut' on the Eagle Rock Loop last Saturday and paid for it
A guy at the trailhead swore the old logging road would cut 4 miles off our day, so we took it and spent 3 hours bushwhacking through greenbrier instead of being back at camp by 5. Anyone else have a shortcut story that went sideways, or am I the only one who still falls for trailhead advice?
