Shipped my truck from Phoenix to Seattle and the driver went dark for 9 days
Hired a broker back in March to move my 2007 Tacoma from Phoenix up to Seattle, quoted me $950 and said pickup in 3 to 5 days. Day 4 comes and the driver texts me a photo of the truck on his trailer, then nothing for 9 days straight, no calls, no texts, voicemail full. I was calling the broker daily and they kept saying he was just in a dead zone through Oregon, which made zero sense for over a week. Truck finally showed up with a cracked tail light and 40 extra miles on the odometer, and the broker acted like that was normal. Did anyone else get ghosted mid haul like this, or did I just pick the wrong broker?
