Shipped my Civic open carrier from Phoenix to Seattle for $900, still mad I paid $1,400 enclosed the time before
Back in 2019 I paid $1,400 to move my old Civic from Phoenix to Seattle in an enclosed trailer because a broker scared me about rock chips, then a few months back I did the same run open for $900 and the car showed up just as clean. The difference was about 3 days of extra waiting and one bug-covered hood I wiped down in 10 minutes, so I keep wondering if enclosed is only worth it for cars you actually baby. Does anyone here have a real story where enclosed actually saved them from damage, or is it mostly peace of mind you pay for?
