Dropped $150 extra to "expedite" my car pickup from Tampa and it sat in the same lot for 9 days
So when I booked my car to move from Tampa up to Columbus, the dispatcher said for $150 more they could get it on a truck within 48 hours instead of 5 to 7 days. I was in a bind with my apartment lease ending so I paid it. Nine days later the car was still sitting in the same lot, and it rode up on the exact same truck as a guy who paid nothing extra. When I called to ask about the $150 back, the guy said "that fee covers priority placement, not a guaranteed day." Which is apparently a real thing they can say. Has anyone actually gotten money back from a broker for this, or do I just eat it?
