The $30 torque wrench from Harbor Freight saved my engine after 4 years of guessing
I stripped a lug nut on my 2014 Camry in the rain last month, and after replacing the stud cheap, I bought that wrench and my oil pan drain plug has never leaked since, anyone else trust the cheap torque sticks over shop labor?
My dad has a beam style torque wrench from Sears he bought in 1994 and he refuses to touch a clicker because he says they lie. He torqued the head bolts on a Ford 300 straight six with it twice and that truck is still running at 280k. Old tools and cheap tools both beat guessing, is what I take from all this.
