Parts guy laughed at me for checking a thermostat in a pot of water on the stove
He said nobody does that anymore and just swaps parts till it works. Took me 4 minutes with a $6 candy thermometer and I found it cracking open 12 degrees late, so the truck ran cold all winter in Fargo. How do you all test them, or am I really the only one still doing the pot trick?
