Discovered a zip-tie trick for holding brake calipers while bleeding solo

I was fighting a stuck bleeder valve on my 2004 F-150 last Saturday in Phoenix and after 40 minutes of dripping fluid everywhere, I zipped both caliper pistons shut with two ties and used a vacuum pump on the bleeder, it worked way better than any helper I've had, has anyone else tried this or used something stronger than a zip tie?
