Spent three hours chasing a rattle that turned out to be a single loose bolt in a door panel
It was a 2018 Civic and the sound was driving me nuts, but the bolt had just backed out from the regulator assembly. Anyone else had a 'simple' noise turn into a major time sink?

Honestly that sounds like a pretty good use of time. Three hours to find and fix a problem permanently is a win in my book. Some people just live with noises for years, and that would drive me way more crazy. Tracking down a single loose part means you really know your car now. Way better than ignoring it and letting something worse happen later.

Yeah I had a buzz in my dash that took forever. Ended up being a pen that rolled under the passenger seat and was hitting a bracket. Felt so stupid but also so relieved when it stopped.

Three hours for one bolt? That’s brutal, man. The worst part is how a tiny sound can make the whole car feel broken. At least you found it, my last rattle just vanished on its own.
