TIL my $80 light pollution filter was doing nothing for 6 months because I had the wrong adapter ring
I mean, I spent half a year blaming my camera settings for washed out nebula shots before I realized the filter wasn't even seated properly on my Canon lens, so are cheap adapters actually a trap or do I just need to double check every piece before heading out to Joshua Tree again?
