Appreciation post: my old anthro professor said something about Clovis points that I am still chewing on
He told me in his office at UT Austin back in 2019 that the Clovis-first model was never as solid as the textbooks made it sound, and now every time I see a new pre-Clovis site pop up in the news I wonder how many of us learned it as settled fact, so I am curious if anyone here had a teacher who pushed back on the timeline they were supposed to teach.
