Warning: An old guy at a tree conference in Atlanta told me to stop using a chainsaw for small limbing work.

He pulled out a $120 Silky Sugoi handsaw and showed me how he could drop a 4-inch maple limb in under a minute with way less noise and risk, which completely changed how I handle residential pruning jobs.

My buddy's arborist showed him the same trick with a Silky. He hasn't fired up his chainsaw for anything under six inches since.

Honestly that checks out, @mason283. My own chainsaw probably feels pretty neglected these days. I mean, after you get the hang of a good handsaw for small stuff, firing up the big saw feels like using a bulldozer to move a coffee table. It's just so much quicker and quieter to grab the Silky. I might have even apologized to my chainsaw last time I walked past it in the garage.
