Took me 2 full days to figure out why my saw kept stalling, and it was a $3 part
My 372XP kept dying at idle for a whole job in Salem last month and I tore the carb apart twice before finding a cracked fuel line. Two days of lost work over a hose I could've swapped in 10 minutes if I'd just looked at it first. What's the dumbest cheap fix that cost you a whole day?
My worst one was a clogged vent in the gas cap, tank would vacuum lock after 20 minutes and die like it was out of fuel. Check the free stuff first, a cracked line or a plugged vent will mimic carb issues every time.
