Shoutout to the parts guy in Denver who showed me how to clean a condenser coil
I was out on a call in Denver last Tuesday, refrigerator was running hot and cycling weird. Spent 45 minutes poking around before the parts counter guy at ApplianceZone told me to stop wasting time and just blow the coil from the inside out with a rapid vac nozzle. I had always brushed from the front, and the difference in airflow was night and day. Has anyone else found a weird angle that works better for cleaning coils?

Ha, oh man that's hilarious because I literally did the exact same thing for like two years. I was the guy brushing from the front thinking I was a hero, and my coils were probably laughing at me. Now I feel like a total clown every time I see a fridge with a dusty front coil. But hey, at least we learned before we had to replace a whole compressor, right? I mean, it's kind of embarrassing how long it took me to figure out the inside-out trick, but now I tell every new tech I meet about it. Idk why nobody puts that in the manuals, it's like they want us to struggle.
