Watched anime at 2x speed for a year, now I can't go back and it's driving me nuts

Realized last month I was only half watching shows like Frieren and Apothecary Diaries while scrolling my phone, so I slowed down to normal pace, but now every pause or quiet scene feels like an eternity, has anyone else ruined their own patience this way?

I saw a video once saying our brains just get used to the fast pace, and normal feels slow after that.
