My friend in Osaka told me to stop analyzing every anime and just feel it
I used to pause every episode to read forums and compare the animation studio's past work before forming an opinion. Last month, a guy I met at a small anime bar in Osaka watched me do it during a Frieren rewatch and said, "You're missing the mood because you're busy grading the paint." That hit me harder than I expected. I started watching new shows without checking episode threads first, just letting the scenes breathe. Turns out I enjoy slice of life stuff way more now, even the slow episodes I used to call boring. I still love deep dives after I finish a series, but I save that for later. Has anyone else had a viewing habit change after someone called it out? What did you stop doing or start doing differently?
