I watched the first 3 episodes of One Piece in English and it almost ruined the show for me
Two months ago my buddy kept bugging me to finally start One Piece so we could talk about it at his place in Sacramento. I watched three episodes with the English dub because it was the default on the streaming app, and I genuinely could not take it seriously. The voices felt like a Saturday morning cartoon from 2004, so I quit and figured the show just was not for me. Last week I restarted with subs and blew through 40 episodes in nine days, so now I need to know: did anyone else bounce off the dub before giving the sub a shot, or was it just me being stubborn?
