I finally caught the episode 8 sub swap before it ruined a whole watch party
So last Saturday we had six people over in my living room in Akron for a One Piece marathon and I pulled up my usual streaming site. Around episode 8 the subtitles suddenly went from the normal translation to some machine translated mess where every other line was nonsense and the timing was off by like 2 seconds. I paused it, checked a second site on my phone, and yep, that source had a bad sub file for that stretch while the other one was clean. We switched over mid-episode, lost about 4 minutes of re-watching, and the night was saved. Has anyone else run into a source with a bad sub file partway through a series, and how do you check before people show up?
