Heads up about spoiler traps in episode discussion posts
I got spoiled on a big twist because people post hints without tags. Now I check the last few comments first to see if there are spoilers.

Yeah checking the tail end first is basically my only move now. I mean I had a huge moment ruined for me last season because someone posted "wow I can't believe they did that" and my brain just connected the dots. Now I'm paranoid and sometimes just skip the whole thread. It feels like you need to play defense just to talk about a show.

Brutal. Good tip.
That's a solid strategy to avoid getting burned. Some people get clever with "hints" that are obvious to anyone paying attention. It ruins the surprise when you piece it together early. Checking the tail end of a thread first is smart self defense. Mods should be stricter about tagging spoilers properly.

Look at how spoiler tags get ignored even when they're supposed to be used. Should mods make a clear rule for hints that are not direct but still ruin surprises? I remember a post saying "I knew the hero would turn evil" before I saw the finale, and it spoiled the whole arc. That kind of thing feels worse than a plain spoiler because it is sneaky. What steps can forums take to handle that without stopping all conversation? Maybe a warning system for users who often post untagged hints.
