Dub vs sub debate made my anime club split in two

I had to decide between showing the English dub or the Japanese sub for our club's weekly screening last month... I picked the sub because that's what I usually watch. Now half the members are saying the dub syncs better with the animation and the other half won't watch a single episode. Which side do you folks land on when you're stuck making that call?

Honestly you can't call yourself a sub elitist if you don't understand what they're actually saying.

Sub elitist here but my dub loving friends are probably right since I can't even understand Japanese.
