Tried to replace a fuel nozzle O-ring on an A321 at 6 AM and dropped the damn thing into the tank

Had to fish it out with a borescope and a wire coat hanger in front of the lead mechanic, has anyone else had to MacGyver something out of a fuel cell before?

And that's basically every morning in aviation, isn't it? You spend two hours getting the perfect setup only to have a tiny rubber ring ruin your whole day. The coat hanger trick is practically a rite of passage at this point.
