That week in Newark where every single torque wrench was out of calibration
It was a Tuesday morning at the Newark hangar and I went to torque a main wheel nut on a 737 and it clicked at 50 ft-lbs less than it should have. We pulled all 4 torque wrenches from the tool room and every single one failed the calibration test, all reading way off. Maintenance control had to rush us a fresh set from JFK and we lost almost 3 hours on the line. Has anyone else had a whole batch of tools go bad at once like that?

I used to think tool calibration was mostly just paperwork, but that story changed my mind.

Honestly @tylerw72, just get a feel for the tools and you'll see it's not busywork.
