Logged my 500th wheel change yesterday, still split on torque sticks

Yesterday I hit 500 wheel changes logged in my notebook, which felt like a big number for me after about 4 years at the regional line. I started counting because a senior guy told me I'd never trust my own arm without proof, and he was half right. I've always used a torque wrench to finish, but these last 100 I tried just using a torque stick on the gun and checking with a clicker only on the last one. The debate is real: torque sticks save my wrist and time on a 6 am turn, but I've seen two lugs come loose on a 737 when someone else trusted them solo. Anyone else keep a count, and which side do you land on for everyday line work vs. heavy checks?
