Tried 12 frozen spring rolls in my air fryer, the last one burst open like a volcano

I was testing different cook times for a batch from Trader Joe's and at 8 minutes everything looked fine, but the one sitting closest to the fan split right down the middle and sprayed filling all over the basket, so I'm wondering if anyone else spaces them out or if it was just that roll's bad luck.

Calling it volcano roll is honestly more generous than it deserves. In my experience that one sacrificial spring roll always takes one for the team, so I just accept it and pick the crispy bits out of the basket. Next time, maybe give the fan-facing one a little extra clearance or just accept your fate as a spring roll whisperer with tragically messy results.
