Skeptical about that old power plant in Ohio being worth the drive, then I walked in
I almost skipped the trip to the old Cleveland power plant on the lake because I figured a big brick building would just be empty rooms. It shut down in 1968 and I had seen maybe 4 posts about it, all blurry phone shots, so I figured it was hyped. Drove 2 hours last Saturday and the turbine hall alone was worth it, 3 stories of catwalks and rusted wheels the size of my truck. Still have the same feeling about that grain silo near Toledo, everyone says it is great but I have not seen one single clear photo. If you have been to both, is the silo actually worth a 90 minute drive?
