Hot take: a building in Detroit went from a bombed-out shell in 2019 to a rented art space in 2023, and I can't decide if that's a win or a loss
Half of me says any roof and working heat is better than another winter of collapse, but the other half says the second they patched the hole in the wall and painted over the old tags, the place quit being the thing that made me pull over in the first place, so which one matters more, keeping the building standing or keeping it weird?
