John Kenneth Galbraith's dictum that in the United States, the only respectable form of socialism is socialism for the rich. Presumably he meant, "Capitalism for the Poor (working class), and Socialism for the Rich (owning class). I take that to mean the Capitalists pocket the profits while transferring the responsibilities, risks, and loss to the working class.
