Although no one reads or posts here anymore, I thought it a fitting place to store what is in the process of being purged from Cocorioko's archives in light of its more rigid policies of selective banishment and censorship of those who speak truth to power. Even the illustrious Bra Enviable and Fada Christmas are banned simply for asking questions and raising subjects that are forbidden on the APC forum, while rabid tribalists like "Dr." Curtis-Thomas are permitted to spout their trash with impunity.
So whoever may peruse this site can view the posts from several relevant threads below and judge for themselves, at least they will not be censored here and remain a matter of public record.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR YOUR CIVIL AND RECONCILIATORY LETTER .
As you noticed, I deleted the names of people like Maada Mustapha, Kelphala Kallon, Winston Kabia and others from the exchanges from the SLPP FORUM I published because there is no evidence that they are part of the NEW PEOPLE , though Kelphala Kallon contributes articles . I have however noticed that Kelphala is a very decent young man who makes his points decently , without any recourse to name-calling. He does not conceal the fact that he supports the SLPP but he is a true intellectual in that he believes in reasoned arguments and analyses and not humiliating anyone in the process. I am sure if Maada writes, he will do the same. I decided to accord him his respect because when the war between me and Sylvia reached the worst point, he was the one who worked behind the scenes to reconcile us, with the help of some others, ofcourse. If he had been a bad guy, he would not have done that. I admire Dr. Kelphala Kallon for his fine breeding when he writes and could not have had his name in the post.
I used your mails, however , and did not delete your name, because you had made it clear on this forum yesterday that you were one of the members and you even praised your lofty goals. I tried to also publish that post but it had been removed when the thread was being cut, probably.
MY MAIN AIM IN POSTING THOSE EXCHANGES , JOHN, was not to make you look ugly to anybody. Its public record already. I have nothing to gain to make you look ugly . My aim was to demolish the lie told on this forum yesterday by Alpha Saidu that the NEW PEOPLE was not formed by SLPP supporters but by neutral Sierra Leoneans. I also wanted people to see that the NEW PEOPLE hasd something in the chest for me. It was not only formed by SLPP supporters but it was a response to Cocorioko, Kabs Kanu, Standard Times and Philip Neville. The public should know this so that when the insults begin to come down like MISSILES from Hell , people will understand why and not think that it was because I did anything wrong. I have nothing to gain from anybody .The PRESIDENT had graciously already given me a job a year ago but regrettably, I was the one who did not go to Sierra Leone to occupy it because of health reasons, as was published in Cocorioko and the Patriotic Vanguard.I am very thankful to President Koroma for giving me the opportunity to serve my country. It is every patriot's wish to serve his country, at one time in his life. The job is still available and my understanding is that whenever my health is stable and I am ready to go and occupy it, it available. Therefore , I don't need to curry any favour from the government. What I am saying about them is the truth. They are not perfect but they are doing very well.
If you were a member of LEONENET, THE NUP FORUM and the AFRICA ONLINE FORUM in the late 1990s and early 2000s , you would have known that this war between me and SLPP supporters did not start when the APC came to power. This war has been on for the past 10 years .It started in 1997 when nobody ever dreamt that the APC would have ever come to power again.
What is creating this chaos between me and the SLPP supporters is that they want to bridle my right to FREE SPEECH and I will never accept it. They did not want me to write anything about the Tejan Kabbah government .They wanted me to be quiet and let what the SLPP was doing pass under the bridge unexamined while at the same time they would waste no time to paint other parties like the APC in very damaging colours.What I noticed was Animal Farmish. SLPP good all the time. APC bad all the time. I asked myself : "What do these guys think ? Do they think that everything about the SLPP is perfect and should not be examined , and everything about the APC is disgraceful and should be the focus ? Were these not some of the guys who hailed me at FBC for sticking it to Pa. Sheki ? " This palaver between me and SLPP supporters started when I started writing for THE EXPO TIMES in 1997.The very ones who praised me before for writing against the APC started finding trouble with my every article against the SLPP. I decide that I will never allow SLPP supporters to bully me. If I attacked the Siaka Stevens APC government and was even jailed by that government, why should I not attack the SLPP government if they go wrong ? Didn't we all fight the old APC ? Why are these people now protective of the SLPP ? I STARTED SEEING THAT SOME OF THESE GUYS WERE NOT PROGRESSIVES AND RADICALS AFTER ALL. THEY WERE JUST TRIBALISTS IN MASQUERADE. THAT WAS HOW THE WAR STARTED. It has been on for 10 years. If you ask Claude Meama -Kajue for the LEONENET archives , you will find all the proof there . My quest is not to get a job or anything from the government, though I don't mind serving my country and I am thankful to President Koroma for giving me that opportunity last year.My quest is for people to get the truth about what is going on in Sierra Leone .
It will interest you that in the 10 years we have fought, everything I predicted came true. I predicted that one day the Kamajors will get into trouble with the international community and that Hinga Norman will be charged . It happened, though the nature it was done was so bad and unfair that I ended up becoming a sympathizer of the old man . I predicted that if the SLPP did not get their acts together, the APC will come back to power. It happened, so it is not a war that started today.
You did yourself a great favour by dissociating yourself from the crude language and insults from the NEW PEOPLE. I HAD ALWAYS HABOURED THE BELIEF THAT YOU ARE ALSO A DECENT MAN, DESPITE OUR DIFFERENT BELIEFS. Do you remember how a year ago I came to your defence on this forum when there was an outcry against you , and people wanted you banned ? I did not only refuse to ban you but even asked why you were not sending your articles to COCORIOKO . Do you remember that, John ? I even encouraged you to take full advantage of the forum to express your views. Also I published your articles with your picture . This should let you know that I have nothing against SLPP supporters.
My biggest quest is FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION . Anybody who threatens it will not get along with me. I did not become a journalist when the APC came to power.I have been a journalist since school days in the mid-1960S and at form 4 my peers elected me Editor of the CKC TIMES. I am proud of my record and the fact that the whole world has found interest in my writings. I am not perfect. I am a human being but I am proud of what I have accomplished in writing. This is because I don't do it for money or rewards.
We all love our country. The only thing that will bring peace is TOLERANCE FOR EACH OTHERS' VIEWS. If we accept that people are free to associate with whosoever they want to associate with, our problem will be over. The problem I have found with NEW PEOPLE is that they want to be publishing all manner of deadly, dangerous and demeaning things about the APC Government and that nobody should defend the government or express their positive sides. What kind of politics is that where you want to be heaping all kinds of dirt on your enemy and you don't want those who support your enemy to respond ? Is that the kind of politics we should be practising ?
That is the problem between us.
Unless and until the NEW PEOPLE learn that they are not the only rooster allowed to crow in the town, there will always be this press war. And we at Cocorioko are ready for war with people who do not want others to express their views.
I thank you for your letter again and hope you will work to re-orientate the minds of people like Sheku Kallon jr and Ishmael Sowa who are definitely in error.

Through talking with these soldiers, I learnt things about the rebel war that you with your already biased and unopen minds will never learn. I even published 2 articles in which Tom explained how people impersonated him wickedly during the war and caused him to have the bad name he received, which , he explained, was very unfair to him. Why don't you talk about those 2 articles ?
Yes, Nyuma was a kind of small brother to me and when he and the other young man had that immigration problem, they know the role I played behind the scenes to help them. The other soldier's wife also called me and thanked me. So if you think that I will be part of a conspiracy to frame Tom, you must be really crazy. Go back to the reports and see how fairly I handled it. Even ex-soldiers in America know that I treated Tom fairly. Only some troublemaking tribalists who don't read to understand and who rely on gossip and speculation , like you, think otherwise.
I did not like it when Tom left here and joined the halaki, loser-politicians , because I feared that they would have used him for something else.Only God knows the whole truth about what happened that night in Bo. Who deserves to answer questions more than this SLPP.
1. Do we ask them why they brought their Ndorgorwusui and RUF rebel war to this country ? If it was not for SLPP,there would not have been any war in Sierra Leone. They were the very ones who founded the RUF .If you look at the names of the founders, all were from the South/East. They carried out all the amputations, burning of houses and killings. Do we ask them for explanation ?
2. The SLPP insired the 1992 coup detat .Mada Bio, Tom Nyuma, Mondeh, Fallah Sewah, all these guys were South/Easterners. Do we ask them for explanation ? They executed 23 innocent people without any trial. Even a poor palm wine tapper, Sarrah, had nothing to do with politics . Yet these anti-North and revengeful people killed them all. Shouldn't Sierra Leoneans be asking the SLPP for explanation ?
3. The RUF War that the SLPP brought killed over 200,00 Sierra Leoneans. When you see the Special Court putting the Kamajor leader and others on trial, you will understand the atrocities these South/Easterners committed in this country. Who has asked them for explanation ?
4. Because of their greed for power, the SLPP could not even wait for the time provided by the Conakry Accord for the AFRC to leave. They brought mercenaries and Nigerian soldiers to restore Kabbah. Do you know how many poor souls they killed who did not have any business with politics ? 30, 000 to add to the 200, 000 they killed through the RUF rebel war. Have we in this country ever asked the SLPP to account for this wicked waste of the lives of our citizens ?
5. When SLPP took over from the NPRC, there was light and water. But through their unprogressiveness, thieving and lack of concern for this country, what happened ? By the time the 11 years of their rule was finished, the country was in complete darkness. They stole all the parts from the machines. Have we in this country asked them to explain why ?
8. When SLPP was in power, millions of dollars were given to the country for aid. They squandered everything. Have we ever asked them for an explanation ?
9. Last month, Dr. Curtis Thomas posted an old New York Times article from 1931 which tells us how the South/ Esasterners had a Leopard Society which they used to commit cannibalism in this country. They have been denying that they are not cannibals, even though during the Special Court trial, they were exposed that they used to eat their victims. Have we taken them to task for that ? When we started discussing it, didn't Rev. Kabs ban Dr. Curtius Thomas , myself and others ?
My belief is that SLPP are testing our patience in this country. They need to stop provoking us in this country. We are not fools. We just want to be peaceful that's all. I stopped coming to these forum because my patience was being tested by SLPP. THEY SHOULD BE EXPLAINING THINGS TO US, NOT ASKING US QUESTIONS ABOUT TOM NYUMAH AND CRAP. Who cares for Tom Nyumah ? If you make an attempt on our leader's life, we will deal with you. They wanted to kill our leader. That is all they are good for. Some of us are silent now, but if SLPP does not stop pulling the rope and give us the cause to start talking , bush will come to town.

I believe you outrageously distort the historical record in your post, but am not interested in quibbling with you about that. The Leopard Society existed all over west and central Africa, a white person might conclude that all Africans are therefore cannibals. As a matter of fact, that is exactly what many white imperialists claimed back then; cannibalism being one of the most potent markers of "African savagery" that structured the racist ideology of empire.
People do all sorts of things, it is fascistic and dangerous to generalize from the beastly acts of a few persons or select group to entire groups of people. That kind of hatred and 'othering' has been the source of the most grievous crimes against humanity in history.
Please refrain from insulting Mendes and southeasterners, for the sake of human decency.

Brother Kabs Kanu is becoming a joke. His espousal of fairness is becoming a joke that is eliciting few laughs. In theory at least, Cocorioko's rules of engagement are clear and crisply-written. Contributors who stray into vulgar styles of expression, we are told, will be banned from the forum. However, if you are an APC supporter, you can scoffingly turn that rule on its head without facing the possibility of being banned. Over the past 48 hours alone, well-known contributors acting with the scummy attitudes that make them scumbags, have posted messages describing SLPP supporters as "unpatriotic bastards." Blinded by hypocrisy, Kabs Kanu sees nothing. The best way to be Kabs Kanu's favorite on this forum is to use the SLPP as a conduit for the delivery of insults against Mendes. I can no longer avoid the conclusion that Kabs Kanu, the so-called man of God, is a Mende-hating skunk with scant respect for fairness.
Why was "Fada Chrismas" banned? Was he banned for commenting on the presidential lie that Tom Nyuma tried to kill Ernest Koroma? The more this topic is discussed, the more Ernest Koroma is revealed as a non-respecter of the law. Why did the State, at President Koroma's behest, let Leather Boot out of jail without trial? As if to crown his derisive attitude towards the law, the president actually spirited the RUF rebel off to Morocco, where an attempt was reportedly made to transform him into a presidential bodyguard.
Trying to kill a presidential candidate is a felonious act. Since Leather Boot could have been the prosecution's star witness, why did the president let him out of jail before the police could fully investigate the alleged attempt on Koroma's life? It was all a presidential lie, and once caught in it, Ernest Koroma simply cut the Gordian knot by standing in the way of the law. Meanwhile, Tom Nyuma was left to nurse the wounds he sustained without enjoying the rule of law in Sierra Leone.
Kabs Kanu is a Mende hater, and this is a fact he can no longer shrug off. His abetment of insults against Mendes is now very clear. A man who evangelizes the Lord's message should be honest enough to admit his "Mende-phobic" sentiments, which is the Christian way to do things. Pretending to be pious while conniving with well-known scumbags to insult Mendes, is a road too morally low for a man of God to trudge. Kabs should have known that!
