Bra Sheku,
Nah yu yai dis?
So I “The New People” happens to have the same ideological thinking as the SLPP but am officially not an SLPP paper. Search and DESTROY is their avowed main function is to search every nook and cranny, to find some item or other on which to bomb the government with some criticism.
“The New People”? Sounds like some of the same old people to me, perhaps dressed in new (sheep’s?) clothing.
“Blessed is the man
who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked
or stand in the way of sinners
or sit in the seat of mockers.”

"Change" and “New” are very suggestive and suggestible words, an almost hypnotic effect on the political imagination (of the politically imaginative – this crowing for change eventually crowned Hon. Charles Francis Margai – an original SLPP - with success as the PMDC in bringing down the old SLPP, and it seems that that North American Reform Branch got carried away with the general suggestibility and wisdom of crowing for change and they therefore (hopefully) baptised their party wing, " The New SLPP” ?
