The best part: This guy is a MAI. Perhaps he's been drinking the NAR koolaid for too long.

Lets see... He's MIBOR Pres. so its safe to assume that he's drunk more than his share of the Kool Aid.

MAI... means very little from what I've seen of the quality of some of their work. As a group they're no more competent than the average appraiser.

And he thinks that the average realtor/cab driver "knows their market better than anyone else" should be "educating" the appraiser. He obviously has never worked in the brokerage end of the biz. 50% of the realtors are complete fools; 40% are merely incompetent: 10% are professionals. I guess he's right where he belongs if he believes any of the nonsense he wrote.

That's the first time in years I've opened that rag-mag for exactly this reason and now will undoubtably toss the next few dozen issues in the sht can where they belong.

But that's just my humble opinion.
