Subject: [aiforum] subsurface easements
Happy New Year once again. Looking for information relating to estimated damages as a result of subsurface takings for utility lines. Generally, we interpret the easement language and develop an opinion of damages based on retained ownership rights. Lots of judgment involved, which is fine, but there does not seem to be any hard data out there. Have searched the Lum Library, Google, etc. for hours. Quite a few professionals tout experience and knowledge in this field, but after speaking to them, the final opinion of damages seems based on judgment. Any thoughts?
