If you were unable to attend the Budget Committee's Public Hearing last Thursday, you missed the explanation as to why the budget is prepared by Richard La Salle instead of the budget committee (as required by RSA 32:16 (http://www.gencourt.state.nh.us/rsa/html/III/32/32-mrg.htm).

If you missed the hearing, you may not realize that the default budget is actually higher than the proposed budget.

If you have not attended budget committee meetings, you may not realize that the budget includes a 2% pay hike for the district's highest paid administrators and you probably didn't realize that Mr. La Salle once again spared his top heavy administrative (as in nonteaching) staff from reductions despite falling enrollment and poor performance (HS is SINI for five years running).

If you do not attend the Deliberative Sessions, things will be worse next year!
