What was that guy Schoenberger trying to pull when he ran the New York Power Authority back in 1997, before he arrived at Unitil.
Does Unitil's CEO Robert Schoenberger have a history of misleading the public? Was he the one behind all the ice storm lies? Is this what happens when you let folks with German heritage run the world?

Metro Business; Power Agency Shake-Up

Meeting behind closed doors, the New York State Power Authority's trustees approved a shake-up yesterday in the authority's top management.
They replaced Robert G. Schoenberger, president and chief operating officer of the authority since 1995, and Charles Pratt, secretary and general counsel since 1985.
The public authority runs the giant hydroelectric projects at Niagara Falls and on the St. Lawrence River as well as nuclear power plants in Westchester County and on Lake Ontario. It produces about one-quarter of the state's electricity.
Mr. Schoenberger, who joined the Power Authority in 1979, was replaced by Eugene W. Zeltmann, who had been deputy chairman of the State Public Service Commission, which sets utility rates.

Anybody got anything juicy on Unitil's VP George Gantz, Usource's President Todd Black or Unitil's Chief Regulatory Attorney Gary Epler? Where did they come from? What attracted them all to Unitil? Were they canned from any of their their previous jobs? Why?
They say unprecedented storm. I say unprecedented callousness and stupididy on Unitil's part.
You know, they even tried to blame the weatherman.
Who decidied to tell the public lies about how the ice storm repairs were going? Who decided to forgo the $2000 membership fee to IEEE Restore Power? Who decidied to give up contacting the folks that were "medically at risk"? Who pulled the plug on Grandma and Grandpa? Do these people still work at Unitil? You bet they do!
