Great location for an "upscale" pawn shop, a "specialty" drug store or a "classic" used car dealer. Boring... Plaistow's been there and overdone all that stuff already. How about a micro-brewery in Plaistow instead? And it's right on RT 125, Plaistow's busy "Nasty Gash". And now that I've gotten your attention, how about having the folks that run the State Line Plaza replace all the dead trees. Hot weather's coming and it's starting to look like an asphalt desert over there. I don't think those trees are ever coming back!

Starbucks to close Plaistow store

PLAISTOW — Starbucks will stick to plans to close its store on Plaistow Road (Route 125), across from Wal-Mart.
The Plaistow store, which opened about a year ago, was on a list of more than 200 store closures announced earlier this year, according to the company's press office.
No specific reason was cited for the decision to close the Plaistow store.
The list included unprofitable stores, as well as stores not expected to meet performance standards in the near future. Financial calculations were not the only criteria used.
Only one other New Hampshire store is slated to close — the Starbucks in Nashua's Pheasant Lane Mall.
The manager at the Plaistow store referred questions to the corporate office, including when the store would close.
