Crier: I think the bigger question is, why is Lieutenant Commander Baldwin burning the candle at both ends? All work and no play makes William a dull boy and probably a tired one at that.

Besides how do we know Kingston's Chief Briggs is telling the whole truth in a letter we haven't seen. He's Baldwin's direct employer. He could get into serious trouble these days if he mentions anything beyond Baldwin's name, rank, serial number, pay grade and employment status.
