Hi All:

I promised to provide members of the media with a transcr1pt from the final day of Unitil's testimony before the MASS DPU in Boston Ma. It became available to me on Tuesday. See attached. I sent copies of all the transcr1pts to Meredith.A.Hatfield from the State Office of the Consumer Advocate and asked her to forward them along to the NH Public Utilities Commission. They were happy to post them on their website's ice storm page for all to read. I also asked that they be entered into evidence in the NH investigation. The NH Seacoast and the Concord area were mentioned several times in testimony. Same ice storm, same utility, same response, just
different cities and towns in a neighboring state.

Your editors don't seem to be too interested. The trial of Robin Knight from North Hampton seems to be the important story these days. I was on a Grand Jury two years ago that indicted one of the players in the Jack Reid murder and while it's still interesting, it has very little effect on our safety and our pocketbooks today What Unitil is and is not doing does have an effect.

What happens if we have a hurricane later this summer or fall. We're due! Unitil admitted that they're still not prepared. They said in testimony that if we had an ice storm today the results wouldn't be much different than December 2008. That's an eye-opener. Even though we get two or three days notice with hurricanes they can be just as destructive as ice storms and often effect wide areas. Plus they are unpredictable and can change course at the last minute. I think the folks in NH should be made aware that it's been almost 6 months since the ice storm and Unitil is still distracted and hasn't made substantial progress. The weather's not going to wait for the NH PUC to act.
